Sabrosa Fusion CA is founded by Mery Cuadros — a culinary-trained professional with years of kitchen experience in Ottawa, born in Peru, building a legacy in Canada.

Where It All Began

At Sabrosa Fusion CA , food is more than food — it is memory, love, and tradition made visible. I still remember coming home from school in Peru and smelling food cooking from blocks away. In the kitchen, my grandmother Maria Itala and my mother Mama Mery would be laughing and talking as they cooked, filling our home with warmth and comfort.

Those moments taught me that food carries more than flavour — it carries the care of their hands and the story of their lives. They passed down more than recipes; they passed down a legacy. Today, I continue that tradition and share the same lesson with my children: the patience and care you put into your food is what makes it truly unforgettable.

The Women Behind the Recipes

Every product at Sabrosa Fusion CA carries a name — and every name carries a story.

Maria Itala's Peruvian Marinade is inspired by my grandmother Maria Itala — a strong, loving woman from Peru who taught me to cook, sometimes by force! She made tamales and humitas with patience and precision, and her knowledge of Peruvian spices and peppers became the foundation of everything I create today. Her marinade is the one that makes our Peruvian Roasted Chicken unforgettable — bold ají amarillo, real Peruvian peppers, and the warmth of a grandmother's kitchen.

Mama Mery's Hot Sauce is inspired by my mother — a fierce and loving woman who always expressed her love through food. Coming home to her kitchen meant coming home to safety, warmth, and the most incredible flavours. Her hot sauce carries that same spirit — bold, warm, and made with the kind of love that only a mother can give.

These are not invented names. These are real women — strong, generous, and irreplaceable. Naming our products after them is our way of honouring their memory and keeping their legacy alive in every jar, every empanada, and every meal we craft.
